Growing up amidst urban challenges, he chose creativity over chaos, using his art to rise above the adversities of gangs and drugs that plague many youths in his community.

Luis honed his keen eye for color, composition, and narrative at Laguna College of Art and Design, where he graduated with a BFA in Illustration.
